FLY LY x I'm Doing It

Our NY homie FLY LY is out with another joint called I'm Doing It. Coming out from the east coast FLY LY has a tough road to get to the top in the game with power houses names not to mention the Mecca of hip hop starting in New York City.

This single pays tribute to the success that comes from grind work as FLY LY stays humble to his craft through ways of creative lyrical content and a grimy NYC sound.

Bieber Fever On 2012 Teen Choice Awards with Big Sean

It cracks us up here at MwS when Justin Bieber gets all thugged out and tries to go hip hop. The youngin' is talented singer and can get away with posing as a emcee especially when Big Sean jumping on stage with teen pop idol. This years Teen Choice Awards had the two artists on this year and basically had the two stand on stage while thousands of screaming girls go insane. Don' know if the kid did any actual singing, but can't knock the Biebster as he racks up the doe and the fame.

The high production performance is typical Justin Bieber entertainment but really all you can hear is the Bieber hysteria in the background.

Nas - Life Is Good

Nas is taking hip hop back to its roots, with his new album Life is Good. Front to back the entire album is the pinnacle of hip hop by 'taking them back when hip hop made sense' and how the love for music all started for Nas. The appreciation of life is Nas' message in this album, moreover the sounds and lyrical content is by far some of Nas' best stuff as the raw grittiness of NYC streets live through his music.

Nas is on his 'A' game, and no one can possess the musical talents that Nas has. He mastered the craft of hip hop music and songs off the album like Back When, Reach Out feat Mary J Blige, plus more incredible tracks prove that Nas still is the quintessential hip hop king.

With heavy hip hop induced flavor in the entire album, Nas still takes the necessary steps in adding a few features that bring a twist that all hip hop albums need. Just to name a few, Swizz Beatz, Anthony Hamilton, Rozay (Rick Ross), the queen Mary J. Blige, and Miguel; Life Is Good brings all the elements of hip hop together, but Nas takes his music to poetic heights with this instant classic.

Enjoy the entire Nas album is streamed - Life Is Good

Recently Nas was on the Colbert Report to perform a single off of Life Is Good The Don.

Statik Selektah & Termanology Featuring Big K.R.I.T - Lights Down

This is hip hop genius at it's finest Statik Selektah & Termanology link up with the Country Cuzzin' Big K.R.I.T. and the three make some incredible music.

Lights Down is smooth track that has an all around hip hop feel from the sound of the beat mixed and mastered by Statik Selektah to the Krizzle southern twang and Termanology's east coast style.

Off the 1982 mixtape, Lights Down is something that is pure to the public ear, genuine to hip hop's soul, and sends chills deep into the body with the legit sounds of a hip hop movement at work.

Jet Moran - Pardon Me

Jetty Prime has a new joint out called Pardon Me. Jet has highly anticipated album called SuperBad that will bring the Funk back to hip hop. Jet brings a Midwest swagger that leaves the rest of the KS competition in the dust. Not only did Jet write Pardon Me, he also produce the beat and mixed/mastered the joint entirely himself. For an artist to be that hands on with their music shows the time and dedication it takes to master the craft of hip hop.

For a local talent out of Kansas, Jet complements a well-rounded style that could be accepted and respected from coast to coast in the hip hop game. Lyrically, Jet is innovative as he steps up the thought process with current event metaphors, harmonized delivery, and cut throat one liners.

Pardon Me brings a softer tone to the beat and the piano is a nice touch to Jet's musical side. Jet also lays down some lyrics that has substance and delivery that is sound clean like a seasoned vet in the game.

Wiz Khalifa Ft. Busta Rhymes - Different Cloth

Wiz is headed towards the hip hop heights as he collabs with Busta Rhymes who his considered a hip hop legend in the game. Busta brings an aggressive attitude every time he jumps on a track. Wiz grabbed the right feature with Busta Rhymes on Different Cloths. The track could be on either Wiz's O.N.I.F.C or Busta's Year Of The Dragon. Get both albums they are going to hott.

The Sledren produced beat Different Cloths is another single Wiz gets on and explains the star status lifestyle, and Busta Rhymes might need to help out someone like Wiz because Bussa Bust out rips Wiz by a large margin and that is due to the fact that Busta came from a more developed era of hip hop music. For Busta talking shit on the mic is what he did everyday thing for him before he made it big, his intimidating style and strong delivery separates greatness from the rest of the pack.

Frank Ocean Ft. Eric Sweatshirt - Super Rich Kids

With Frank Ocean blowing up the scene with his Channel Orange album,  Super Rich Kids featuring Eric Sweatshirt of Odd Future hit the air waves and the joint goes straight hip hop. Frank Ocean has his own unique style but has the elements that sets him aside from most emcees in the game right now.

His delivery is well defined with lyrics that identify his creativity to tell a story. Frank and Eric jam out, the song might take time to build up but the end result is well worth it.

Meek Mill - Black Magic feat. Rick Ross (Music Video)

Maybach Music is giving us hit after hit, hot video after hot video. Its safe to say that MMG is on top of the rap game right now. They didn't get there by justin caps and taking people out, just some fire music and some gangster ass visuals with a 'We Don't Like You, We Don't Care" attitude that set them apart from YMCMB and every other label to there.

This video "Black Magic" from Meek Mill feating the Boss himself, Rick Ross, has that grit and grime you want to see plus the bling and sexy ladies you love. Make sure you keep an eye on these cats, they dropped Self Made 2 last month and have Rozay and Meek's albums hitting shelves soon.

Mac Miller - America feat. Casey Veggies & Joey Badass (Music Video)

Mac Miller teamed up with Casey Veggies & Joey Badass for the song America, and it just so happened that they finished the video in time for an ILLROOTS release on July 4th. A nice turn on the usual video filmed backstage of a show. We've all seen it before, it looks dope but it ain't original.

This video, they took some creative liberties and colored over certain parts of the video, adding some flair and excitement to the rapping in dark hallways that we're used to. Make sure you check it out below!
